Radiohead Guitarist Jonny Greenwood Reportedly Scoring Inherent Vice

Inherent Vice is one of the most anticipated films of the year and it’s no surprise why. It’s based on the detective novel of the same name by Thomas Pynchon, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and features a star-studded cast led by Joaquin Phoenix, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon and Benicio del Toro.
New information from Film Music Reporter gives even more reason to get excited. According to the report, Anderson has tapped Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood to score Inherent Vice, making it three straight films that the two have collaborated. The guitarist was behind the score on both The Master and There Will Be Blood.
As The Playlist notes, it will be especially interesting to see what Greenwood conjures for Inherent Vice as the tone of the film is expected to be much lighter than either of Anderson’s most recent efforts.
The film has no release date yet, but is expected to make its premiere sometime later this year.
