Available across all mobile platforms, Viber is the most widely available messaging service. Text, pictures and video messaging is standard across the app, with voice calling limited to the iPhone, Android and Windows phones. Viber started as a competitor to Skype since it was recently bought by Japanese company Rakuten for $900 million, we should expect to see great things from this app. 

Google Hangouts:

If you feel too much information is available online, then Google Hangouts is not for you. This company tends to store all sorts of information on its clients.
