Questlove Lands Role of Corpse on Law and Order: SVU

 

If you’re a fan of The Roots and SVU, the two will shortly be colliding in a way you might not expect. Yesterday Law and Order: SVU star/rapper Ice T took to Twitter after posting a picture of a cadaver that looked oddly familiar. Surprise—it was none other than Questlove. The photo shows him resting on an examining table with a nasty bullet wound in his head (but that stylish afro pick still remains).
In November, Questlove wrote a piece for Us Weekly called “25 Things You Might Not Know About Me.” In the article, the No. 7 spot is “It’s my fantasy to play a dead body on Law & Order,” and now that dream—tongue-in-cheek or not—is coming true. Although there is not a date specified for the episode, it’s bound to be a must see.
