Michael Keaton Fuels Beetlejuice a Rumors, Teases Tim Burton Involvement

The long anticipated Beetlejuice 2 is looking a bit more likely—Michael Keaton has at least been talking to Tim Burton about directing the sequel for the classic dark comedy.
Keaton recently sat down for an interview to promote Robocop, and the actor supplied some hope for possibility of Beetlejuice 2. “I’ve e-mailed Tim a couple of times, talked to the writer a couple of times, but all really, really preliminary stuff,” Keaton expressed. “I always said that’s the one thing I’d like to do again, if I ever did anything again. But it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another. Now it looks like he is involved. And without giving too much away we’ve talked to each other, and e-mailed each other, and if he’s in, it’s going to be hard not to be in.”
Burton was offered the director’s chair back in October, and in September 2012, Seth Grahame-Smith started writing the script with the intention of bringing Keaton and his co-star Winona Ryder back into the sequel.
